I have probably sold more of this form than any other I have thrown. These particular lanterns are made of terra cotta. Most of the time I Raku the lanterns giving them a very colorful and metallic finish, but I have also made them of stoneware and glazed them in various colors. They can also be used to sit on a table top with the flat end down. This is how they are most often used inside, but be careful, they get hot with a candle under them! They have a very botanical "pod-like" look to them. I think that they are ideal to hang in a garden space like this one on my back deck. These may be available in a gallery from time to time, but I usually have some on hand if you're interested. I have hung these with steel cable, but you can even order a higher end beaded wire from me. This is very decorative and can be completely custom. The prices range from $45-$90 for the most part.
